2027 Nissan Rogue e-hybrid review

We spent a day with Nissan’s new 2027 Rogue E-Power Hybrid in California and wow is it possibly a class leader. Sure, the new design is fresh, but the real story here is the major new 3rd Generation E-Power powertrain which delivers an EV driving experience, quiet cabin, and strong driving range all on pure gasoline.

Allcarnews spec sheet

  • Under the hood is Nissan’s e-power series hybrid system, made up of an all new turbocharged 1.5L 3-Cylinder (Not VC) that’s only used to charge a 1.67kWh battery pack. This battery powers the wheels through 2 eMotors for “e4ORCE” dual motor AWD. And 225HP. -There is no gearbox, no need to charge it, simply add fuel. The gas engine does not have a mechanical connection to the wheels. - Nissan estimates 38MPG Combined and 41MPG city, 36MPG Highway. We saw just over 500 miles of range. -And don’t worry, a non-hybrid is coming later on likely with a new 1.5L 3-Cylinder Turbo. But we recommended this E-power model.

The interior has a standard set of 2 12.3in displays with wireless CarPlay & Android auto. Top trims have 2 14.3in units. Platinum models get a 10-speaker Bose audio with ambient light and cooled seats. The Rogue is capable too with 31.1 cu ft of cargo all the way up to 65.9 cu ft with the seats down. It also retains physical A/C controls, can get up to 2 Qi2 wireless chargers, has down jacket inspired seating and plenty of easter eggs. Pricing starts at $35k for the SV, in early 2027 though the SR Tech Pack goes on sale this Fall in limited numbers at $43,065 & Platinum at $43,490.
